I wanted to give you an update on the event at the Pennsylvania Military Museum at Boalsburg. Despite the hail thunderstorm on Friday night and the rain Saturday evening into Sunday we still had a very good event! We had 10 members of the 125th PVI, 2 members of the 148th PVI, Co. C and 2 members of the 55th Va. attend this event.
We did school of soldier training, marching, and firing demonstrations for the public. Battery B also had about 12 members present and did firing demonstrations for the public. We very much appreciate the hospitality and kindness shown to us from our hosts! We also appreciate the use of the portable toilet provided by Battery B for our use!
I would like to share some pictures of the event with you including the pea size hail beside my tent and of us executing Frank Boring into the 125th PVI and I hope that you will enjoy them! I am also sending along a copy of the Boonville Good Old Days Event and directions for this Saturday. If anyone would like to join me, I will be there about 3:30 P.M. on Friday the 10th and will stay the night into the morning of the 11th and spend my day there. The Suger Valley Historical Group has put a lot of work into this event and I am happy to enjoy it with them! In fact, they already have the signs put out now and ready for the weekend! I will look forward to seeing you soon! God Bless You and Take Care!
Sincerely,
1stLt. Duane
